Anglican Church of Christ the King, Tripoli, Libya

The Anglican Church of Christ the King is in the diocese of Egypt, with North Africa and the Horn of Africa, led by our dear Bishops Dr. Mouneer and Dr. Bill Musk. The church offers an ecumenical ministry. Full members of all churches are welcome to receive the Holy Sacraments and to take a full part in the life of our church.

The church is a multinational congregation (Westerners, Africans, Asians, and Egyptians); so we have English, Asian, and Arabic congregations. These congregations are served by the church clergy team; Revd Vasihar who is an Indian priest, Revd Kosti who is a Canadian priest and Revd Hamdy who is an Egyptian priest.

The Clergy team prays together and says the daily office, seeking unity in diversity. It is a great challenge to have clergy team of different cultural backgrounds, but we enjoy the Lord among us whose identity can unite us and other people with one vision, ministry and one goal; saving souls and helping out in building God's Kingdom in Libya.

The clergy team encourages ecumenical ministry, and enjoys Christ, our Lord who brings pastors and priests from different denominations together; to pray, to share news and to feast together. The Clergy team also enjoys prison ministry as well as interfaith relations and dialogue.

Our church Choir is very interesting; it is a multinational choir which inspires you of how different Christians praise the Lord in heaven. Also we conduct combined worship services, and it is very enjoyable, and it brings another inspiration of how believers of different congregations worship our Loving Lord in heaven.

We, by God's grace, have grown with the Lord as well as in ministry through Baptism - confirmation classes, marriage course, encouraging weekly bible studies, outreach work and evangelism, biblical preaching, encouraging the ministry of the laity and presenting pastoral care to all congregations.

Our work carries on the four goals of vision and mission of the diocese which are:

Reaching the unreached
Planting new congregations
Dialogue with the other faith and
Ecumenical relations.

We try the best to be a kind and hospitable church to believers of all Christian denominations.

We, the Clergy team, do not consider ourselves as infallible persons. Therefore we try to learn Christ everyday so that we can teach Christ to our folk and thereby, patience, love, forgiveness, endurance, serving with love, and willingness to learn become necessary qualities for accomplishing Christ's ministry in Christ the King's in Tripoli, Libya. Many thanks for praying for us.
